BACK TO SCHOOL

My transition from junior year to senior year was an easy transition for me because I always dreamed of becoming a senior in high school. My classes are harder than last year and there’s definitely way more work. It can be pressure though when the whole school is looking at you as a role model because you’re scared to make a mistake or do something wrong. Besides all the pressure and work, I am very excited to do well this year and get it over with. I’m very excited for college and I know I’ll do amazing. 

Time!

Our lifespan is insignificant. During the dinosaur years, their were 370 days in a year. Now there’s only 365 days. Did you know that 1 billionth of the suns actual energy, hits the earth. To get out all the water in the world, it would take 46 years. That includes all the oceans, seas, and lakes. The carbon cycle also pulls carbon dioxide into to the sea. It’s passed on as a food chain. The massive explosion of of heat is called a supernova. A supernova is when the sun explodes. But that wont happen for billions of years. The clouds in space look like dust particles and out clouds are actually water vapors. The energy released from space, pushes outwards. When gravity looses grip on our earth, it is called the dark energy. Our universe is in no danger and we are also called “The Milky way”. Protons will slowly degrade. Another “Einstein” that is a scientist, is called Steven Hawkins.

Central Tendency

 

Range and measures of central tendency

-range and measures of central tendency (mean, median, and mode) are values that summarize a set of data. They are useful when analyzing data.

Range -The difference between the greatest and the least values in a data set

Mean (Average) -The sum of a set of data divided by the number of data.

•                 -Find the sum
•                 -And divide by the # of data.

Median -The middle value of a data set.

•                 -Chronological order
•                 -If you end up with 2 numbers, find the mean of the 2 numbers

Mode -The most common value of a data set.

•                 -Place them in order.
•                 -Some don’t have modes.

Outliers -Sometimes there are extreme values that are separated from the rest of the data. These extreme values are called outliers. Outliers affect the mean.

Central Tendency- referring to range, mode, median, mean.

 

Lesson 2 Google Forms

This is my Google Form for lesson 2. I made a little quiz and anybody can try it and take it! This was kind of fun but it’s mostly an assignment I have to do. Here I made twenty questions for anybody to try it. This is a good way to study for a test and it is very useful for teachers as well for students.

Using Math Formulas

 

1.)    If you key a formula that includes addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, in what orders will Excel do the calculations?

Excel will compute the multiplication first, then division, then addition and then subtraction.

2.)    Explain why the order of precedence is important?

Because it states which part of the formula you calculate first.

3.)    5+2*3+7-4

This equation equals 14.  

 

 

 

Quick Write Activity

It is important to track expenses because you’re more organized and neat. When you track your expenses, you know how much you spend and you don’t overspend. Its also important because you are more organized with yourself and the things you buy. You can also add how much you get paid to always have that record on you. I find it very useful to go shopping and know what I can spend or not. It will help you not overspend or lose your money. I totally recommend excel to everyone! You’ll definitely be more organized! I promise!

Google Forms

Google Forms is a way of creating tests! You can make a test in different styles and ways. It’s very creative. You can use it in school by making a fake test and studying off of it. So it’s very helpful! It can be helpful by keeping you organized also you can use word document and the excel sheet on Google forms. If you don’t have those programs on your desktop, you can always go on Google forms. I would recommend Google forms because I myself don’t have Microsoft folders and I use the document app a lot on Google. Very helpful.

What is dropbox?

Dropbox is a free website that lets you bring all your photos, documents, and videos anywhere. It will help me with my school work because my work will never be lost. What if I forget to save my work? Or what if my computer randomly shuts down? I will lose all my long essays! And no one wants to re-type all that work. So that’s why drop box is useful and helpful.

By using drop box you are more successful because you won’t be in school and tell your teacher “Sorry I left my essay at home”, when you have drop box. Luckily drop box saves all your files and makes it 100% useful. It can help be organize data because everything’s saved and I can open up all my files whenever I want. You can also share your drop box with anyone you want.

What’s Excel?

 Excel is a type of spreadsheet software. Excel could help you in school by helping you be more organized. You can create charts and tables for Math. Create graphs for any class. It could help you obtain a higher salary because you’re more organized and could keep track of how you’re using your money and how much you’re spending.

 

 

 

 

 Excel can help me organize important data by creating projects and assignments on it. It calculates numbers for you and does a lot for you. It is best to use excel whenever you need to store and process data, especially numbers. Spreadsheet software also allows users to organize and manipulate numbers and other data.
